Rock music, a
lso called rock n roll, has become popular amidst 19th century in the United States. However, rock music today got multiple facets as it began to spread in many countries including Europe. Rock is performed using a variety of instruments and the dominant source in the music is the vocals. It includes heavy music from electric guitars, drums and bass instruments. Most people tend to think, it is music with a strong beat. It first began as simple styled, dance oriented, and have more lyrics. It concentrated on mostly middle aged people and tries to draw their happiness, love, gadgets, etc. There is no exact definition to rock music available anywhere. Elvis Presley was one of the popular rock artists, during 1950s. He used guitar sounds with strong beats and brought the traditions of white Americans. Another well known figure was Beatles from England. He brought out a new kind of music in Britain using guitar, drums, and bass instruments. His success in the US shows that this country had its roots for rock n roll. Bob Dylan emerged with a new style identical to rock music with amplified bass guitars. Rock music has now turned to a commercial industry.
